Technical Leads oversee a group of developers within a Delivery Team and help to manage day-to-day tasks to ensure high levels of productivity, accuracy, and work priority. Technical Leads will also have development responsibility. This includes the development and maintenance of in-house and customs applications as well as the customization of products from software vendors. What will your essential responsibilities include?

1. Perform deliverable reviews and manage measurement of deliverable quality
2. Provide technical SME assistance for a given application
3. Technically leads other developers, including assignment of work
4. Assists in maintaining development standards for design, coding, etc.
5. Will also perform Application Developer duties
6. Will need to perform design activities in collaboration with the Technical Architect
7. Assists in the overall user story prioritization into sprint cycles
8. Support resolution of defects during application testing phases
9. Estimate work requests at various levels of confidence
10. Responsible for code quality and ensure security and performance standards are considered

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills And Abilities

1. Significant hands-on experience developing complex applications (.NET/Microsoft Stack).
2. Previous experience working within an Agile and/or Scaled Agile environment.
3. Timely and accurate completion of deliverables in a manner that is auditable, testable, and maintainable.
4. Implementation consistent with solution design and business specifications.
5. Ensure for technical integrity of changes made to systems.
6. Adherence to development governance & SDLC standards.
7. Team leadership abilities required, including experience leading and mentoring development professionals.

Desired Skills And Abilities

1. Must be able to set priorities and multi-task.
2. Proficiency with multiple application delivery models including Agile, iterative and waterfall.
3. Broad understanding of application development and support technologies.
4. Prior work experience in an insurance or technology field preferred.
5. Adaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures, etc. Comfortable with change, able to easily make transitions.
6. Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems or a related field preferred.
